Doomsday Machine in 10 Minutes

It's THE DOOMSDAY MACHINE in 10 minutes. In widescreen.

This is the latest in a series of pro/am produced TREK "special editions" presented with CGI effects. More DOOMSDAYS here. I guess anyone with the software can do their own version. (Me ... I'm still putting ink on paper and scanning stuff in!)

This version: The CGI effects are limited. Heck, an artist is only as good as his tools and I'm guessing whoever did this one doesn't have access to that same equipment that CBS/Paramount has for its official TOS makeover debuting in a few days.

The cuts in this episode are merciless: no Decker describing the "planet killer;" a regular TREK writing device: a "word picture" to instill depth and dread before we see the Doomsday Machine is gone. The end is truncated -- no futuristic fight between the security officer and Decker, and no Kirk begging Decker to stop the shuttle. No tag at the end.

If you HAVE to see the actual uncut DOOMSDAY MACHINE, then Amazon has it for $1.99 for download, along with the rest of the series. The wonders of this modern world!
